WOW! I get one whole day off this weekend from work. Next week sounds like allot of overtime. Probably working next Saturday too.

I dont work many weekends. You are lucky to be getting overtime. My work is slowly trying to find a way of not having to pay any overtime.

Here lately I'm being passed up for overtime. Just like it was before on second and third shift. But this time my hourly pay is a buck and a half less than it was before. Plus I'll have more taken out this time around, such as 401k, health insurance, dental insurance. So it will leave me with allot less take-home pay.

Back to work tomorrow. Not that's a bad thing - it isn't. I like where I work. It's interesting, yet can be dangerous.

I'm not sure as of this time. We don't get any advance notifications. We will have Thanksgiving Day off and Christmas Day off, as well as New Years Day off. But this year Christmas falls on a Saturday, so not sure how that is going to work. Previously we were laid off at that time so I'm not sure how it will be this year. Will we be laid off? Not sure. Work has been steadier this year than it was in 2008 and 8009. In 2009, it has been very sluggish. Worked limited days just before July 4th and was laid off for several weeks through July 4th. Then laid off just before Thanksgiving 2009 and never was called back. Not till I filled out another application and was "Rehired" as it was well past the 6 month period. But work has been quite steady now. Getting more new dies coming in. Also several new welding robots. So, we may be working all this winter.
