I bought some Slime the other day. Had a flat tire on the rear wheel of my road bike. So I put some slime in it and rode it for a while. That tire has been holding air for several days now. Also put some Slime in the $2 yard sale Huffy bike front tire. It too is still holding it's air after several days now.
Was going to put some in the Mongoose tires, but bought some Slime tubeless mountain tires. I don't exactly like the kind of grip the Mongoose tires have. Good cornering traction, but that's it.

Mug, surely you still have the receipt from that bike, so TAKE IT BACK and GET YOUR MONEY BACK! Yes, you CAN... I talked to WM myself, and they said if you STILL HAVE THE RECEIPT, you can BRING IT BACK... Go for it.. You sure aren't able to use it.. You DON"T have to keep a lemon... Yes, a lemon! Take it back, and get your $$$$$$ back..... Don't delay.... Just remove your lights, and extras you purchased after you bought it... Take it back to the store, go to the service counter, tell them the bike is worthless, and get your REFUND..... YES YOU CAN....

Slime SRT (Standard Rim Tubeless) Tires are working out very well. Excellent traction, smoother, quieter ride. I put them on yesterday morning. Rode down the same trail I have before. These tires (like I mention on GB) have a self healing membrane within the tire, plus there is Slime inside the air bladder as well. The Slime will seal a 1/8" puncture three times. If for some reason the air bladder should fail, a tube can be used after removing the valve stem. That same trail put holes on the Huffy tires, that's why they kept going flat. So I filled both tires with slime and both have been holding air. So it really doesn't matter what kind of bike I have, if they don't have heavy duty tubes, tires lined with self healing membrane or kevlar and/or slime inside, they too will go flat. And that I'll have to supply as most bikes are set up for the general consumer. To buy a bike set up for my purpose will cost far more than the Mongoose did. I paid $26 for the L.E.D. headlight and taillight and $19.90 for the tubeless tires. All together, just over $260 for a new bike. I talk to the guys at Rock & Road, they bike with full suspension will cost $450. And that bike, just like the Mongoose, is set up for general bike riding. To have stronger tires or ones filled with Slime, the cost just went up even more - $475 to $550. To have a headlight and taillight installed - $500 to $575. And in order to keep Giant's warranty, anything added or modified to Giant Bikes must be done by the guys at Rock & Road. Or other qualified stores that sell that brand. I paid regular cost for the Mongoose - $189. $26 for the headlight/taillight and $19.90 for the Slime SRT tires. Plus $19.95 for the extended warranty. So I paid about $270 for the Mongoose as it is set up for my riding style, which ain't bad. The tubes I pulled out were rather thin for the size of tire being used. My bike tire size is 26" x 2.35".
