Think my U-joints are wearing out as they are squeaking at very low speeds. Soon as I push in the clutch, the squeak stops. And when I left off the clutch it squeaks again. Between 50 and 55 mph it groans maintaining speed, but quietens some softly decelerating. These are the non-greasable U-joints.

Had a problem with the U-joint I bought. Apparently Ford decided to use the same u-joint from the automatic transmissions for the manual transmissions. The manual transmission use a larger cup size than the ones on the automatics. So that made for some considerable confusion.
Will eventually have a picture of the old one. The spindles on the spider were a bit on the "DRY" side.
