I just got a quote from Progressive. If I took them, my monthly bill would be $69.82/month! Right now State Farm is charging me a whopping $142/month!

$142.00/month!!!
I had Progressive in the past and was satisfied with them. A friend became an insurance agent (Farmer's) but has now quit and I will probably be going back to Progressive.

We were with Citizen's Insurance. I would pay a fixed amount of $75/month. But last checked, the truck was $72.48/month. Now we are with Home Owners Insurance and their rate for the truck & car is less. Son't know how much for the truck yet, but still pay $75/month to my father. I tried to get it on my own, but since auto insurance is based on credit history, I'll be paying anywhere from $195 to as much as $345/month.

I now have Progressive!! Was $188 to start and from now on my monthly bill is $69. I called State Farm and cancelled my policy. I couldn't see paying $142/month for the same thing thru State Farm.

OK, now I just have to ask: Where in the world do you shop for car insurance, to get those kind of rates? Man, you would have to be working 80+ hours a week to pay for that.... Are you insuring a sports car?Corvette? Pontiac Trans Am, or that last little Pontiac 2 seater Sportster? (It doesn't even have a back seat... ) Or, have you had gazillion accidents that make you a high risk? Shoot, mug, what you quoted, I pay for one year of full coverage.. and I have road service! Those numbers, folks, are astronomical.... Get on the phone, and CALL AROUND..... That is the best way to find out . I can tell you who I have, but they do go by WHERE you live, you know... Also, your driving history, accidents, and ins. scores.... Valuema, you sound as shocked as me......
