The next project for the Cavalier is replacing the power steering pump. Never done that so it should be a grand old challenge. It's chattering and squeaking allot now the weather is cooler. Mostly when I turn the wheels sharp or all the way left/right. It appears to have been leaking for quite some time around the pulley sheave. The Ranger is also making some noise too when I start it up, but quiets down after a few. It too is slinging PSF out from the shaft. Seal is worn out. Was warn that if that is left to go, the bearing could seize and snap the drive belt. So... that will be the next project for both vehicles.

Does the power steering pump make noise all the time? Or is it sporadic?
May be able to save a few dollar by just replacing the pump only and reuse the tank.
