Replaced the plugs, wires and air filter in the truck yesterday. Plug gap ranged from .065" to beyond my feller gauge of .100". Suppose to be between .042" to .046". Have no idea when the wires were replaced, so I bought new ones.

ah yeah that would make a difference. probably have some engine damage too.

Since I didn't buy new rotors, I bought two new oxygen sensors instead. Had problems though, the socket I bought only removed/installed the right (passenger) side O2 sensor. The driver's (left) side is too cramped for the socket. Couldn't get enough leverage for the adjustable wrench either. So, half of the V-6 engine is running better. Maybe it would have been best to rent that special tool from Auto Zone after all. Hmm...

Both O2 sensors are in. Seem to start a bit easier. Will see if that makes the mpg better.
