Now that the digital transition has occured, I get even LESS channels with an indoor antenna. I did a little experiment. I ran RG6 coaxial cable outdoors and hooked up my rabbit ears outdoors. What a difference that made. I got my local CBS (WWTV) with 18 on the strength meter while indoors CBS wasn't even detected! I still can't get NBC (WPBN) though.

Your digital via the antennia is ever worse than over here in UK. At lest 85% of the UK can pick up most digital channels via the antenna and that will go up to 94% when the hole of the Uk is digial by 2012. The UK is going digital area by area and already to small areas of the UK have gone all digital. My area of Scotland is due to go all digital by October/November 2010. Nearly twice a day the BBC is showen a digial switchover add.

I get Channel 3.1 (WWMT @ 57%), 3.2 (The CW7 @ 57%), 22.1 (WSBT Indiana @ 17%), 22.2 (?? @ 17%), 22.3 (WSBT-WX Ch. @ 17%), 35.1 (WGVU-PBS @ 63%), 35.2 (Creative @ 63%), 35.3 (?? @ 63%), 35.4 (DTV Testing Channel @ 63%), 52.1 (WGVK-PBS @ 57%), 51.2 (Creative @ 57%), 51.3 (?? @ 57%), 51.4 (DTV Testing Channel @ 57%), 54.1 & 54.2 (Christian Gospel Channels @ 55%).
I have a 100 mile range HDTV Outdoor antenna installed on an antenna rotor. My Receiver now receives a ton of radio station depending on what direction I had the antenna turned at. ;D I used a splitter to split the signal, one to the DTV box and the other to the receiver.

Need an outdoor antenna for a good signal. Could make an outdoor antenna using some kind of wire. Or go garage/yard sale hopping. ;D
Mug's antenna is a small one and he gets quite a few more channels than before.

The outdoor antenna works even better after pounding in a 10 foot grounding rod into the ground and attaching a 6 ga. all copper ground cable to it.

It been confirmed the day that depending on what transmitter is used in my area as there are two transmitters. One 7miles from me and one 28miles from me. Digital switchover will be October 2010 or March 2011. We have also been told there maybe a rescan of all set top boxes via the antenna need in October this year to make room for the BBC HD/ITVHD test channels and one or two other channels may over channel numbers.

Woman at church said she has problems trying to watch TV with a distant thunderstorm. The lightning affects the signal making it pixeled.

Even with an outdoor antenna turn directly towards WWMT's transmitting tower, lightning static still affects the quality of the signal.
Watching Monk as it gets pixeled often from the distant lightning.
