Not much riding this week. All thanks to the muggy hot weather. Just 10 miles so far on the ATB. About 6 miles on the road bike as I don't ride the ATB after rainfall and get it all messed up with dirt & grit. Just ride on the road till the things dry out a bit. Been doing my riding in the evenings. And being heavily attacked by Dear Flies, they are nasty this weekend.

If it's not the heat & humidity for a heat index of 107°F or 42°C. Or it's the deer flies. And then the strong thunderstorms that kept me inside.

Going a bit farther this time on my bike rides. Now gone down one side of Baseline Road almost to 50th Street. Baseline Road is the Allegan/Van Buren County Line. But the flies were getting really bad and it was mostly uphill riding, so I turn back. I also went farther down 2nd Avenue pass 50th Street (the south side of 50th St). Thought about going north on 51st Street into Allegan County, but was getting dark outside, so I headed back to my street and rode up to the 388 stop sign. All together it was about a 1/2 hour ride doing an average 6.5 mph leisure ride. Or just over 7 miles round trip, including riding in the back forty trail too. The 19 acre property next to our 1 acre of land. Weekends I ride in the morning and in the evening. Weekdays only in the morning before going to work, and I don't go as far.

Sounds like a good ride, mug.. Maybe sometime you will find a riding partner! ;D Too windy here for bike riding, but yesterday we rode our 4-wheelers out blueberry picking... That was fun.... Just beautiful weather, for sure! Enjoy your riding

How many miles totalled on the Mongoose? Will you fix the Huffy Bike? Is your father getting any use out of that Schwinn Point Beach Cruiser bike?

How do you keep all those records? Me, I just pop on it and go... My neighbor calls, and we are off.. I watch the weather more than anything, because I don't like to get a wet behind while riding!!! Must stay DRY! ;D

122.51 miles on the Mongoose. I manage to get a whole mile before going to work. Yes, plan on getting the Huffy going again. Father would like to ride it, probably keep on riding it. No, he hasn't been riding his cruiser bike much at all now. That has about 18 miles total so far.

I got the new seat and mounted that to my road bike. Oh, it's so large and soft. Now I'll get some mileage on my road bike now that I have a comfy seat. But didn't get the dérailleur yet. Don't know if they packed that in a separate box or what. If it doesn't come by later today, will have to make a call.
Saturday sounds like great weather. Morning low of 51°F and a high of 68°F. Probably get allot of miles in then. I've been riding down 2nd Ave all the way to 48-1/2 Street now. That's a good 2.0 miles right there. Sunday sounds good too. ;D
