You have to pay to play Farmville? As many facebook people play that game I am surprised it is a pay to play game. I also would never pay to play it It is $20 to $40 for more coins and cash. Then there are options for paying money too via PayPal, credit card, etc. Forget that, I ain't wasting my money to play a game. On top of that, my desktop PC locked up solid last night. Manage to get Task Manager up and it showed 13 Facebooks apps running in the background overloading my PC's RAM and overclocking the CPU. I had to do the worse thing - COLD BOOT. Unpluggged the power cord from my PC to shut it down as it wasn't responding to anything that is considered remotely safer for shutting down the PC. Today it's working like normal again.

As soon as I seen that, I gave it up as well.
There is a group you can join that hate those apps. Quite a few people joined that group.

I belong to Facebook and I feel that it just a bunch of clutter. This person is now a friend to this person, and this friend is now a friend to someone else. I do not care who is a friend of whom. Some days the whole first page is filled with that nonsense. I would probably just quit Facebook if my children were not on it.

I no longer use Facebook as I temp closed my account but got over 6months to reopen it or they will close my Facebook account for good. I do agree that Farmville is not worth the money and I got more to spend my money on than a silly online game. I like my one weeks holiday away every year and in the next two years I maybe thinking of getting a new PC as the Dell xp pc that I got the now will be over 5 years old by then and I had heard that xp updates will stop by the end of 2012 or early 2013. I also got internet/phone bills and stuff to pay every few months. Some must waste a lot of money on that game and money they may not be able to aford.

What I don't care for is a boat load of friend request. I always send out a PM asking why the request and I usually don't get any response.
I'm on there cause Bill Steffen is also on FB. Bill Steffen is one of my most favorite meteorologist. I've been watching him ever since we moved down to Lower MI back in the early to mid 1980's. Except then he the cheif meteorologist with ABC-WZZM 13. Now he is the cheif meteorologist for NBC-WOOD TV 8. he replaced the other really good meteorologist - Crag James. Keith Thompson for CBS-WWMT 3 is also good too. Don't watch Peter Chan too much on WXMI FOX 17.
Also some of my family is on there as well. Plus I met up with other's not directly in my family, but share the same last name and have become good friends. Facebook has it's perks.

Frosty has a reason to have a party now.
I see she also has a post on Major Geeks support forum under LOUNGE. So I went ahead and posted that my account has been closed.
If she continues to get invites now, then there is a problem with Facebook itself. My e-mail client is Outlook Express and can only send/receive messages when I click on OK. That's how it is set up on my PC.
