Has anyone watched it? it's on the Discovery Channel. Sean still hasn't got that perfect shot. Reed Timmer looks to have a new weapon in his arsenal. I seen the trailer today as he'll have a model plane fly in close to launch a probe. He also has a mobile radar to scan wind speeds on his Dominator vehicle. Sort of resembles Sean's TIV 1. It's a fascinating show and I'll be glued to the TV again tonight.

They actually flew a large model plane costing Reed Timmer thousands of dollars, into a thunderstorm. They launched (dropped) probes on parachutes in the updraft of a supercell (twisting) thunderstorm. One of the probes went into the thunderstorm climbing up to 2,000 feet in elevation. The first ever done. Reed Timmer seems to be doing allot of firsts this year. A mobile radar up close to a twister to measure the winds at the surface and aloft. Whereas Josh Worman's DOW (Doppler On Wheels) cannot measure such winds from afar. Though at the beginning of the show, Josh was worried Reed's mobile radar may interfere with his DOW.
There's been several times Reed was literally on the edge of a tornado in his Dominator. This last Sunday, the tornado goes across the road and the returns back towards Reed's vehicle. But looks like he may take a hit as I seen short clips of the final episode. The driver's side window blows out hitting him in the face. And I think Sean finally gets that shot as I seen in the short clip seeing him holding the camera. So the last episode should be most exciting. ;D
